Olympics several Indian women
Several Indian women have participated in the Olympics over the years. Seven women from India have won an Olympic medal so far. They are Karnam Malleswari, Mary Kom, Saina Nehwal, P. V. Sindhu (twice), Sakshi Malik, Saikhom Mirabai Chanu and Lovlina Borgohain.
Karnam Malleswari:-
Karnam Malleswari (born 1 June 1975) is a retired Indian weightlifter. She is the first Indian woman to win a medal at the Olympics in 2000. In 1994, she received the Arjuna Award and in 1999, she received the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award, India's highest sporting honour, and the civilian Padma Shri award.
Mangte Chungneijang Mary Kom:-

(born 24 November 1982) is an Indian olympic-style boxer, politician, and former Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha.She is the only woman to win the World Amateur Boxing Championship six times, the only female boxer to have won a medal in each one of the first seven World Championships, and the only boxer (male or female) to win eight World Championship medals.Nicknamed Magnificent Mary, she was the only Indian female boxer to have qualified for the 2012 Summer Olympics, where she competed in the flyweight (51 kg) category and won a bronze medal. She had also been ranked as the world's No. 1 female light-flyweight by the International Boxing Association (amateur) (AIBA).he became the first Indian female boxer to win a gold medal in the Asian Games in 2014 at Incheon, South Korea and is the first Indian female boxer to win gold at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.She is also the only boxer to become Asian Amateur Boxing Champion for a record six times.Mary Kom won the 51kg gold in President's Cup in Indonesia.
Saina Nehwal:-
born 17 March 1990) is an Indian professional badminton player. A former world no. 1, she has won 24 international titles, which includes ten Superseries titles. Although she reached the world's 2nd in 2009, it was only in 2015 that she was able to attain the world no. 1 ranking, thereby becoming the only female player from India and thereafter the second Indian player – after Prakash Padukone – to achieve this feat.[8] She has represented India three times in the Olympics, winning a bronze medal in her second appearance at London 2012.
P.V. Sindhu:-
P.V. Sindhu is an Indian professional badminton player and one of the most accomplished athletes in the sport. She has won numerous awards and medals, including the historic silver medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics, making her the first Indian woman to win an Olympic silver in badminton. Sindhu has continued to achieve success on the international stage, securing medals in various tournaments.
Sakshi Malik:-
Sakshi Malik is an Indian freestyle wrestler who gained international recognition by winning a bronze medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics in the 58 kg category.
Saikhom Mirabai Chanu:-
Saikhom Mirabai Chanu is an Indian weightlifter who won a silver medal in the 49 kg category at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. She is known for her achievements in weightlifting and has also won multiple gold medals at the Commonwealth Games.
Lovlina Borgohain:-
Lovlina Borgohain is an Indian boxer who won a bronze medal in the welterweight category at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. She hails from Assam and has made significant contributions to Indian boxing.
